Our studies

Since 2018 we've conducted three research studies under independent ethical review boards. All our studies use innovative methods to conduct remote research with diverse audiences at scale.

STUDY OVERVIEW

We measured biological responses to specific foods in 1,106 people over 14 days, measuring blood glucose and fat levels, activity, inflammation, sleep and gut microbiome diversity. Our findings have been published in Nature Medicine in June 2020.

STUDY OVERVIEW

This study contributes to advance vital research on COVID-19. Participants report how they feel daily even if they are well. We then use software algorithms to predict who has the virus and so track COVID-19 infections across the UK, US and Sweden. 3,794,544 participants have downloaded the app and are using it to regularly report on their health, making it the largest public science project of its kind anywhere in the world.
